This is a glimpse of New York Sports Tours’ sports history experience on June 16, 2019, the 129th anniversary day of the opening of the second of New York’s four Madison Square Garden venues. Also included in this recap are baseball stories about the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Columbia University and New York Knickerbockers and a story about tennis’ US Open. The June 16 tour experience ended at Keens Steakhouse with a dinner hosted by New York Times bestselling author Wayne Coffey. Each tour guest received a copy of They Said It Couldn’t Be Done, Coffey’s new book on the 1969 World Series champion New York Mets.
